My publishing journey kicked off at the cavalcade of authors party on the Intrepid at BEA in NY right after Random House had acquired my STARTERS duology. I was introduced to the crowd as Random House’s newest author and I got to meet their stars Lauren Kate, Christopher Paolini, and one I shared my editor with, the lovely Tyra Banks.
Now jumping to the summer of 2023 when I was back on a panel at ComicCon San Diego (the O.G.). Even though actors weren’t present due to the strike, there were plenty of elaborate interactive exhibits like this Shogun one and the Anne Rice New Orleans street. The showroom was packed and this photo below is the standing-room only audience for our panel on YA Dark Speculative Fiction and The Hitherto Secret Experiments of Marie Curie.
